Welcome to GlenDee Corp / MGI. We are a manufacturing company located in Moorpark, CA. Our facility covers 46,000 sq ft among two buildings. MGI began operations in 1975 as a Veteran Owned Small Business making nameplates and sheet metal components. As we continued to grow in an industry that was just beginning to utilize computers during the birth of the CNC era, we witnessed the undeniable advantages and began a methodical implementation of this rapidly developing technology.
While being a sheet metal fabrication company for the first five years in business, there was a certain advantage in establishing ourselves as a one-stop-shop, turn-key to the customer. By our sixth year we had incorporated machining into our manufacturing.
In 1994, we identified a need to manufacture our product using the 3D cad tools available. During this investigation we felt it necessary to incorporate not only manufacturing but quality control. Within a few months our entire manufacturing system utilized the native 3D model to develop tool path and develop the inspection data for our cmm's.
In the past few years, MGI has been incorporating robotic arms into various manufacturing aspects. Our first endeavor has been in deburring. While utilizing our manufacturing systems and cells, the robotic arm handles those tight areas and areas where handwork is not consistent enough. We currently utilize two arms in this area.
Our next area of implementation is machine tending. The vertical milling and turning centers are perfect candidates for this application.
Today, MGI is fully integrated in the paperless 3D world and the robotic assisted manufacturing environment. Our entire manufacturing process is built with these technologies in mind and at hand. Check back to see these concepts grow.
